My wonderful and tech-savvy fiancee and I each had complementary gift-giving prompts from Facebook on our profiles, which also offered the ability to send goodies to other friends, as well. There is obviously a tremendous amount of potential here. Since Facebook knows everything about you – your birthday, your music tastes, your political leanings – it’s only logical that it will seek to monetize this data in ways that go beyond tacky display ads.
Question is, will I see a jewelry-themed prompt on our anniversary?
