For the last month, the internet has been all aflutter about ChatGPT, the ridiculously versatile AI engine from OpenAI.
You can use it to write blog posts, create meal plans, and write term papers. I recently used it to generate plans for a potential family trip to Barcelona. The results were eerily good.
The big unlock with ChatGPT comes from it both surfacing and organizing information in ways that you define. It’s not hard to go onto Google (or TripAdvisor, as the case may be), and find what to do in the city. But then you’d need to create a new Google Doc, add sub-sections, copy-paste stuff, etc.
But with ChatGPT, the ability to instantaneously synthesize information and spit it back into action items based on parameters that you’ve provided is pretty freaking crazy. See for yourself.
Moreover, the fact that I could then provide feedback, by asking it to refine the given parameters (for example: shorten it by a day, include a day trip into Aragon, or remove the visit to the DalĂ Museum), all within seconds, is pretty astounding.
