I was pointed toward an article today in the WSJ where the authors touted that the negotiation process toward the debt deal was what the framers of The Constitution wanted.
I don’t disagree with the article on a whole but it isn’t a very good response to someone who is critical of the polarization of our country and the general debate. Saying that government showdowns are not new does not excuse any unwillingness to compromise.
